Perth-based Arafura Rare Earths on Wednesday announced appointments to several key executive leadership positions, including a new COO, as momentum builds towards delivering the Nolans project, north of Alice Springs.

Stuart Mcnaughton started as COO on April 8. With 25 years of experience, he has successfully overseen the design, build and integration of processing plants for Vale and BHP, including leading global teams in Australia, Africa and the UK.

“Attracting a COO with Stuart’s credentials signifies the quality of the Nolans project and Arafura’s growth potential. His expertise in leading diverse teams to deliver complex integrated processing plants is critical to the success of Nolans,” commented MD and CEO Darryl Cuzzubbo.

Further, Shaan Beccarelli commenced as head of corporate affairs and investor relations in March, while Tanya Perry was promoted to head of sustainability and environment in February.

“These appointments signify that Arafura is on the pathway to successfully delivering the Nolans project and ensuring our stakeholders and communities are highly engaged with us. I am thrilled to welcome Stuart, Shaan and Tanya to my leadership team,” said Cuzzubbo.
