The WWIOP has a 2004 Joint Ore Reserves Committee-compliant resource totalling 130.3-million tonnes grading 60% iron, including 69.2-million tonnes of probable reserves at 60.3% iron.

The project proposes the construction of a large-scale iron-ore operation of up to seven-million tonnes a year over an initial mine life of ten years, subject to the development of a viable transport and infrastructure solution.
