Westgold hits production target

PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed Westgold Resources has hit its production target for the 2022 financial year, producing 270 878 oz of gold, setting a new production record.

For the fourth quarter ending June, the company produced 72 591 oz of gold, with the Cue gold operation, in Western Australia, producing a record 24 797 oz during the quarter.

“Westgold has delivered three solid quarters and a cracking fourth quarter production result that has seen the company achieve its 2022 production guidance,” said Westgold MD Wayne Bramwell.

“Our team has met every challenge that 2022 has thrown at them, and this result is testament to their resilience and ability to find a way to succeed. In 2023 the focus will be on simplifying our business to enhance profitability and Westgold starts 2023 with renewed focus, continued commitment to safety and confidence in our future.”
