Platinum group metals company Wesizwe Platinum has confirmed to shareholders that it will start commissioning of the Bakubung Platinum Mine (BPM) processing plant on May 31.
Production at BPM is expected to start as soon as possible after the plant's commissioning has been completed.
Hot commissioning of the plant had initially been planned for March 23 to 30, but this had to be postponed owing to a number of challenges.
Wesizwe's share price on the JSE rose by more than 9% after the announcement to shareholders on May 30.
