Voith is now able to offer an even broader range of products for mining and materials-handling customers, which will all be showcased at Electra Mining Africa 2016.

These are technically and economically optimised belt conveyor pulleys that allow for a long product life cycle. Providing excellent running characteristics under extreme conditions such as heat, cold or humidity, and performing well in demanding and tough environments, Hese pulleys have a service life of up to ten years. Voith offers customised pulleys for different applications such as drive pulleys, tail pulleys, bend pulleys and more for high system availability.

The type TVVS showcased controlled-fill fluid coupling model is used mainly in belt conveyor drives. These types of couplings are used to ensure smooth startup, as well as  to protect the drive against overload and dampen torsional vibration, thus preventing unplanned downtime and increasing the lifetime of drives.

Voith offers full aftermarket support for all of its products, implementing the very best in technology to bring proactive fault-finding to the fore on drivelines and other equipment. Voith service personnel have unique experience and training to ensure that installation and commissioning meet Voith’s exacting standards. Using Voith’s service team thereby reduces downtime and increases equipment availability.

Voith sets standards in the markets for energy, oil and gas, paper, raw materials, and transport and automotive. Founded in 1867, Voith employs more than 20 000 people, generates €4.3-billion in sales, operates in over 60 countries worldwide and is one of the biggest family-owned companies in Europe.

Voith has long provided top-line fluid couplings for use in belt conveyors, AFC and crusher drives, in addition to highly efficient drive solutions. In 2015 it added the field-proven systems of mining conveying manufacturer Hese Maschinenfabrik to its portfolio.
