Junior explorer and developer Vizsla Silver has suspended drilling at its Panuco project, in Mexico, for two weeks in response to an increase in Covid-19 cases in the region where it operates.

“The current wave of the Covid-19 virus is the most significant experienced to date in southern Sinaloa. As such, the company feels it is prudent to play its role in helping to minimise the potential risk of transmission,” said president and CEO Michael Konnert.

He stated that the Vizsla team would use the two weeks for safety training, desktop review and critical analysis of the exploration work to date.

The company has completed 85 000 m of drilling in 333 holes from its drill programme at Panuco.
