Project Description
The project involves the construction of a green­field thermal and metallurgical coal mine, with a capacity of up to 20-million tonnes a year of run-of-mine coal over a mine life of 35 years.

The project includes:

• an opencut thermal and metallurgical coal mine;

• mine infrastructure areas, including a coal handling and processing plant;

• a rail loop and train load-out facility;

• site access roads;

• mine water management dams and storage facilities;

• sewage treatment facilities; and

• office buildings and amenities.

Potential Job Creation
The project is expected to create 1 400 jobs during construction and 950 jobs when the mine is operational.
