Vancouver-headquartered Ero Copper has reported two separate and isolated incidents that resulted in the death of two of its employees. One incident occurred at the MCSA mining complex, in Bahia state, Brazil, and the second incident at the NX gold mine, in Mato Grosso, Brazil.
Ero said that it had suspended each of its operations to allow for investigations to be conducted. Since the incident at MCSA late last week, mining and milling operations have resumed.
The incident at NX happened on Monday evening. The company said on Tuesday that operations would resume in the next 24 hours.
