The Santander mine, in Peru, is reopening, with additional Covid-19 health controls in place.

Vancouver-headquartered Trevali Mining on June 25 suspended mining and milling operations to provide Covid-19 screening for all workers, after 19 tested positive when conducting routine testing.

The company says one individual has been admitted to intensive care, owing to complications related to the virus.

Santander is expected to take about two weeks to reach stable production levels.
