Mineral sands developer Strandline Resources on Thursday announced a slew of executive and management changes, including the appointment of a new COO and the resignation of its CFO.

Strandline, which owns the Coburn mineral sands project in Tanzania, appointed Belinda Murray as COO. She previously spent 12 years with the BGC Group in various leadership roles and played an integral role in overseeing the company’s growth. Murray has been Strandline’s head of commercial and strategic development since November last year.

Strandline also appointed Ian Hind as new general manager marketing and logistics. He previously spent 13 years with Iluka Resources in a variety of international marketing and logistics roles.

John Francisco has been appointed new GM of Coburn. He has held a number of development and operational roles in various mining operations in Australia and overseas. Francisco worked closely with Jozsef Patarica – Strandline CEO – on the ramp-up to nameplate throughput rates of the Grande Cote mineral sands mine in Senegal.

Michael Ingram, a geologist with 30 years in technical management roles, is the new technical manager.

Flavio Garofalo stepped down as finance chief to pursue other interests, the company said. Senior financial controller Jenelle Goddard has been appointed interim CFO.

Meanwhile, Strandline said it was continuing the review of operations and corresponding funding requirements. As such, trading in the company’s stock remained in suspension.
