PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Engineering and construction firm SRG Global has secured a new eight-year, A$100-million contract with diversified miner South32 at its Worsley alumina operation.

The contract would see SRG Global provide specialist refractory services, including gunning and casting and installation of refractory products and anchors.

Contracted work will start in October this year.

Meanwhile, South32 has also extended SRG’s existing engineered access services contract for a further two years, at a value of A$25-million, allowing SRG to continue providing access services at the Worsley alumina operations until mid-2027.
