JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – JSE- and NYSE-listed precious metals miner Sibanye Resources has appointed Ken Kluksdahl COO for the US region.
“We welcome Kluksdahl to Sibanye’s US region executive team and look forward to his contribution,” Sibanye executive VP: US region Chris Bateman said in a statement.
Kluksdahl has over 30 years’ experience in operational mining roles at several global mining companies including Homestake Mining, Rio Tinto and, more recently, AngloGold Ashanti.
His appointment follows Sibanye’s acquisition of US-based platinum miner Stillwater Mining Company in May, which transitioned Sibanye’s organisational structure from a divisional commodity structure to a geographical regionalised structure.
