Saracen awards GR Engineering expansion contract

PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Gold miner Saracen has awarded a A$24.5-million contract to ASX-listed GR Engineering for the engineering design, procurement and construction of expansion works on the mineral processing plant at the Carosue Dam mine, in Western Australia.

GR Engineering will upgrade the existing processing plant capacity to a throughput of 3.2-million tonnes a year through the installation of secondary grinding equipment in addition to upgrading the existing carbon-in-leach circuit and other process infrastructure.

Work under the contract will start immediately, and the upgrade will be completed by the first half of 2021.
