Emerging miner Salazar Resources has acquired the mineral title to a 1 175 ha property, on which it will base the El Potro project, for $50 000.
The property is based in the Loja porphyry district of Ecuador.
The company is reasonably certain that El Potro contains a well-preserved porphyry system with gold-bearing lithocap.
Findings from preliminary mapping and sampling include 3 m grading 26.6 g/t gold and 3 m grading 9 g/t gold.
Further, stockwork samples include 4 m grading 0.23% copper.
Salazar has launched an exploration programme to scope El Potro’s potential.
