Roy Hill hoping to reach 60Mt/y by 2020

KALGOORLIE (miningweekly.com) – Iron-ore miner Roy Hill on Tuesday revealed ambitions to increase its production at its namesake operation, in the Pilbara, from 55-million tonnes a year to 60-million tonnes a year.

Speaking at Diggers & Dealers, in Kalgoorlie, Roy Hill CEO Barry Fitzgerald noted that the company had already received approvals for the expansion, and was hoping to achieve the sustained shipping rate of 60-million tonnes a year by the end of the 2020 financial year.

Roy Hill first started iron-ore production in 2016.
