The board of diversified mining company African Rainbow Minerals has approved the Merensky reef project at the Two Rivers platinum group metals mine.

When the R3.6-billion ultrahigh dense media separation project is commissioned, it will further extend the mine life of Kumba’s Sishen iron-ore mine to 2039.
