JSE-listed Merafe Resources has announced that Abiel Mngomezulu will retire as chairperson at the company's annual general meeting (AGM) on May 15.
"The board would like to thank Mr Mngomezulu for his exemplary leadership and significant contributions made to the board and the company during the 13 years he served as an independent nonexecutive director of the company, five years of which he served as chairperson," the company says.
Nonexecutive director Steve Phiri will be appointed chairperson following the AGM.
