Parnis Manufacturing

With over 40 years’ experience in the mining and energy sectors, Parnis Manufacturing has become synonymous with an uncompromising commitment to service and quality.

In addition to its extensive work for the mining sector in South Africa and beyond, Parnis Manufacturing has made great strides in the energy sector, where it has identified expansion opportunities in the design, fabrication and assembly of mobile switch rooms and mobile E-houses.

The E-house concept is that of a fully equipped electrical substation, manufactured using insulated steel panels and designed to provide the best possible customised solution.

The mobile or modular E-house saves costs, space and time, compared with traditional substation building methods.

Established in 1975 by CEO Mario Guerini and located at 165 South Rand road, in Tulisa Park, Johannesburg, Parnis Manufacturing is focused on applying its extensive engineering knowledge to solve its clients’ challenges.

The company has been awarded several contracts over the past 12 months, including the delivery of a completely refurbished mine winder to a gold mine in Zimbabwe. The winder, dating back to the early 1950s, was previously used on a South African gold mining operation and required extensive restoration to its original operational standard.

In addition, Parnis Manufacturing has been awarded contracts to manufacture E-houses for Mauritania and to fabricate and machine a new mine winder for Canada. It has also supplied galvanised mine skids to Panama and Botswana.

Parnis Manufacturing has the expertise and skill necessary to adapt to market circumstances and to provide fit-for-purpose solutions to customers’ requirements.
