Operations at the La Colorada silver and gold mine, in Mexico, will be restarted next week, NYSE- and TSX-listed Pan American Silver reported on Wednesday.
The company halted operations last week, after armed robbers seized two trailers of concentrate from the mine.
Pan American reported that Mexican authorities rapidly responded to improve security in the vicinity of La Colorada and to provide an environment that allowed for operations to resume.
The temporary suspension should not have a material impact on the company’s consolidated production and cost guidance for the year, nor the targeted timing of late 2023 for the release of the La Colorada Skarn preliminary economic assessment.
