PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Mining services provider NRW Holdings has completed the A$10-million purchase of RCR Mining and RCR Heat Treatment from the administrators of RCR Tomlinson.

RCR Mining includes the mining technologies business, which owns intellectual property across a range of products and processes, and is an original equipment manufacturer and materials handling designer.

Mining Technologies and Heat Treatment generated some A$110-million in revenue during the 2018 financial year, and NRW was expecting the acquisitions to be earnings accretive.

The businesses operate from primary locations in Welshpool and the regional center of Bunbury, in Western Australia, have a facility in Victoria, and would continue to be supported by some 300 employees who have received offers of employment from NRW.

“This acquisition delivers a complementary business to NRW and aligns with NRW’s strategy to broaden the service offering to Tier 1 clients at a time of improving market sentiment,” said NRW MD and CEO Jules Pemberto.
