JSE-listed Northam Platinum has advised that chairperson Khomotso Brian Mosehla has retired as chairperson, effective June 22.
He will also step down as director on June 30.
Lead independent director David Brown has been appointed as Northam chairperson.
This comes as Northam concludes the planned winding up of the empowerment transaction between Northam and Zambezi Platinum.
Northam CEO Paul Dunne comments that Mosehla has contributed to the board amid an important period of accelerated growth and development for the company.
He notes that Mosehla had been instrumental in Northam concluding the empowerment transaction with Zambezi in 2015 and provided the necessary funding, empowerment credentials and platform for Northam’s growth.
