PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Coal miner Allegiance Coal has resumed full operations at its New Elk mine, in Colorado.
The miner earlier this month reduced production rates at the coal mine after three cases of Covid-19 were reported at the site.
Allegiance has now implemented on-site testing for Covid for all mineworkers.
Meanwhile, the ASX-listed company reported that the second train uploaded at the Port of Guaymas was returning to the mine for loading early next week, with six trains required to fill a 70 000 t cargo. Discussions are in place with the purchaser of the four 70 000 t cargoes to reset the laycan date for the first shipment, as a result of the reduction in production.
