Embattled copper miner Minto Metals on Tuesday announced the resignation of its board of directors, as well as that of two senior management members.

Gati Al-Jebouri, Lazaros Nikeas and Derek White resigned from the board with effect from May 12, while Joe Phillips, Chris Stewart and Jay Johnson’s resignations are effective May 13.

Following these resignations, the company has no remaining directors.

Minto also announced the resignation of VP, human resources and camp operations Tracy Dormer, effective May 5, and VP environmental, social and governance Loralee Johnson, effective May 13.

Minto at the weekend halted operations at its namesake copper mine, in Yukon, after failing to raise capital.

Minto has handed over care and maintenance of the mine to the Yukon government, which has hired JDS Mining as contractor to ensure environmental protection is maintained at the site.
