As a result of the ongoing mandatory buyout offer by Impala Platinum (Implats), Royal Bafokeng Platinum (RBPlat) has extended interim CFO Rotshidzwa Manenzhe's appointment to December 31.
Her appointment as interim CFO had previously been extended to June 30; however, the RBPlat board has decided to continue to pause the appointment of a full-time CFO until the conclusion of the corporate action and until the board has clarity of the direction of the company.
Implats announced on June 26 that it had concluded agreements to acquire a further 547 346 shares in RBPlat, taking its holdings in RBPlat to 56.3%.
