PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Gold miner Silver Lake Resources has awarded ASX-listed Macmahon a A$220-million underground mining contract at its Deflector gold/copper project, in Western Australia.

Macmahon subsidiary GBF has been providing underground mining services at Deflector since mining started in 2016, and the new contract now extends this service until April 2025.

The contract incorporates all underground development, ground support, and production activities, including the provision of all labour and mobile mining equipment.

“We are very pleased to have won this tender and to be working with Silver Lake Resources at Deflector. This new contract is an important milestone for our strategy to expand our underground business, and is a clear demonstration of the benefits we are now realising from the GBF acquisition,” said Macmahon CEO and MD Michael Finnegan.
