Lucapa sells more diamonds from Lulo

PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Diamond miner Lucapa Diamond Company has garnered a further $1.3-million in revenues from the sale of its fourth parcel of diamonds for 2017.

The miner recently sold 1 878 ct of diamonds from the Lulo mine, in Angola, at an average price of $695/ct. The latest sale brought gross proceeds from the Lulo diamond sales in 2017 to $14.5-million, with prices averaging $1 747/ct.

Lucapa said on Tuesday that with the wet season now over, alluvial mining operations at Lulo would resume at the high-value mining mining blocks, later this month.
