ASX-listed Lucapa Diamond Company has received a further A$8.8-million tranche from diamond company Sociedade Mineira Do Lulo (SML).
That completes the previously approved SML shareholder loan repayment of A$14.8-million, Lucapa said on December 14.
This follows the National Bank of Angola’s approval of the full repatriation of Lucapa’s alluvial investment loan in August.
About A$20-million in SML dividends and loan repayments have now been repatriated to Lucapa from Angola during the year.
In addition, the SML shareholders passed a resolution at the recent general assembly for a further A$5.9-million dividend and a A$5.9-million loan repayment.
These payments will start in the first quarter of next year.
