Name of the Mine
Lamaque mine.

Location
Val-d’Or, in Quebec, Canada.

Mine Owner/s
Eldorado Gold.

Brief Description
The Lamaque site has all infrastructure in place to support mine and process operations. The site comprises the Triangle mine, which was built in two phases – Phase 1, which was completed in 2015, and Phase 2.

The Upper Triangle deposit is currently being mined through surface ramp access.

Lamaque also includes the historical Sigma openpit and underground mine and all associated infrastructures, as well as the historical Lamaque openpit underground mine.

Brief History
Eldorado achieved commercial production on March 2019, from ore mined at the Upper Triangle deposit and processed at the refurbished Sigma mill.

Primary Metals/Minerals
Gold.

Secondary Metals/Minerals
None stated.

Geology/Mineralisation
The Lamaque operation comprises the Triangle gold deposit an Archean greenstone-hosted orogenic lode gold deposit.

Gold is found within quartz/tourmaline carbonate veins, which are hosted within a series of subparallel subvertical shear zones centred around a steeply plunging cylinder-shaped porphyritic diorite – the Triangle Plug – which intrudes the mafic volcanic stratigraphy of the Val d’Or formation.

Individual gold-bearing veins and associated alteration are on average 4 m to 5 m thick, subvertical and extend 500 m to 700 m horizontally and vertically and have a fully diluted average grade of about 7 g/t gold.

As yet, seven structures have been identified by drilling from surface to about 1 000 m vertical depth. Secondary structures or splays from these principal shear zones can also host significant gold but are normally less widespread and more sporadic.

A deep drilling programme has shown that the mineralised system extends to at least 2 km below surface.

Reserves
Total proven and probable reserves as at September 30, 2021, were estimated at 4.7-million tonnes grading 7.3 g/t gold.

Resources
Total measured and indicated resources as at September 30, 2021, were estimated at 7.1-million tonnes grading 8.5 g/t gold. Inferred resources were estimated at 8.9-million tonnes grading at 6.9 g/t gold.

Mining Method
Underground, using mechanised longhole stoping.

Major Infrastructure/Equipment
The Lamaque site has all infrastructure in place to support mine and process operations.

The site comprises the Triangle mine and Sigma mill.

The Triangle mine includes  a mine dry and office, a garage, a warehouse, mine ventilation facilities, a compressor house, waste rock stockpile, a slurry plant, a cement silo, a core logging building, a surface fuel station.

The Sigma mill comprises a main plant,  covered crushed ore storage, a crushing facility and a warehouse.

Support infrastructure includes a regional administration office, an exploration office and core yard, construction offices near Sigma mill, site water management and collection ponds, and a tailings storage facility.

Prospects
Eldorado continues to extensively explore the Lamaque property, which includes drilling on the Triangle, Parallel, Plug No 4, and Ormaque deposits.
