Brief Description  
The Kuranakh orefield encompasses 11 gold deposits and 24 stockpiles, situated between 6 km and 25 km from the processing plant.

Brief History  
Gold has been mined at Kuranakh orefield for more than 55 years. The mine was commissioned in 1965.

Primary Metals/Minerals  
Gold.

Secondary Metals/Minerals  
None stated.

Geology/Mineralisation  
Mineralisation is similar in character throughout all the Kuranakh deposits; ores are of the quartz-pyrite type. The processing mill uses resin-in-pulp sorption technology, with subsequent electrolysis and smelting.

Reserves  
Total proven and probable reserves as at December 31, 2020, were estimated at 200-million tonnes grading 1 g/t gold.

Resources  
Total measured, indicated and inferred resources as at December 31, 2021, were estimated at 345-million tonnes grading 1 g/t gold.

Mining Method  
Mining at Kuranakh is based on opencut, drilling and blasting operations.

Major Infrastructure and Equipment  
The mine includes a mill with a capacity of almost six-million tonnes a year and a heap-leaching facility with a capacity of 1.5-million tonnes a year.

Prospects  
Polyus is proceeding with exploration activities at the mine.
