Polish mining supplier Kopex is a manufacturer of high-class machinery, equipment and modern mining technologies, offering solutions for underground and openpit mining operations across the globe.
The group, which has been in operation since 1962, manufactures and supplies machinery, electrical mining equipment, control and automation systems, roadheaders, scraper conveyors, armoured-face conveyors, powered-roof supports, longwall systems, crushers and mining air-conditioning systems. Kopex also offers mining services, such as drilling, shaft sinking, underground mining construction and industrial and civil engineering services.
Kopex is headquartered in Katowice, but production of its machinery and equipment takes place at manufacturing facilities across Poland, South Africa, China, Australia and Serbia. The company boasts ISO 9001:2008 certification.
Kopex, which had a turnover of $470-million in 2013, provides employment to about 5 000 people.
Krzysztof Jędrzejewski owns 59.05% of the Warsaw Stock Exchange-listed company, with TDJ owning 9.99% and public investors 30.96%.
