Galymzhan Pirmatov has resigned as CEO of Kazatomprom with effect from September 2, the Kazakhstan uranium major announced on Friday
Pirmatov is departing to pursue another opportunity, the company added.
Mazhit Sharipov, who is currently Kazatomprom's chief nuclear fuel cycle officer, would be appointed as acting CEO.
Sharipov has been with Kazatomprom since 2015.
