Kamoa Copper orders concentrator plant equipment from Metso Outotec

Copper miner Kamoa Copper has selected mining technology company Metso Outotec to supply key concentrator plant equipment for its copper mining complex expansion in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Metso Outotec’s scope of delivery consists of environment-sensitive Planet Positive processing equipment, including energy efficient HIGmill regrind mills with polyurethane wear linings.

The delivery also includes Larox PF 60 Series concentrate filters and TankCell flotation cells for the efficient recovery of valuables.

Kamoa Copper is a subsidiary of Canadian mining company Ivanhoe Mines and operates the Kamoa-Kakula copper mine in the DRC.
