Project Description
The project entails the construction of a greenfield underground longwall operation to produce up to six-million tonnes a year of run-of-mine coal, most of which will be low-ash hard coking coal for steel production.

The underground metallurgical coal mine will share major infrastructure with the Fitzroy’s existing Carborough Downs mine.

Potential Job Creation
The project is expected to offer about 160 jobs to contractors during construction, and up to 350 jobs for operational staff.
