The first phase of the 100 ha Lords View Industrial Park, which is located in Chloorkop, Johannesburg, is advancing. Construction began in November 2011 and is scheduled for completion in April 2013.

“The industrial park is being developed in six phases. We have successfully sold 10 ha to consumer goods company Unilever South Africa,” says Lords View head of marketing and sales Alan Hendricks.

The developer has also sold an additional 5.7 ha to wholesale automotive supplier Grandmark International, which will result in Phase 2 starting earlier than was originally intended.

The industrial park will embrace various sustainable technologies, from power to drainage, which, Hendricks reports, has been a draw card for some tenants.
