Platinum group metals (PGMs) miner Impala Platinum (Implats) has acquired a further 245 000 shares in Royal Bafokeng Platinum (RBPlat).
This constitutes about 0.08% of RBPlat's shares in issue and raises Implats' shareholding in RBPlat to 56.52%.
The final condition precedent to Implats’ buyout offer to RBPlat shareholders was fulfilled on June 30 and RBPlat shareholders have until July 21 to accept the offer.
