Impala Platinum (Implats) has acquired a further 942 000 RBPlat shares, constituting about 0.33% of RBPlat’s shares in issue.
Implats now holds about 32.26% of the RBPlat shares in issue.
Implats on November 29 announced an offer to RBPlat shareholders to acquire their shares for R150 a share, comprising R90 in cash and 0.30 ordinary shares in Implats.
The offer was made following Northam Platinum’s acquisition of 32.8% of RBPlat’s shares in issue from Royal Bafokeng Holdings for R8.6-billion in cash and 8.7% in Northam’s shares in issue.
