Hudbay announces agreements with unions in Manitoba

Diversified miner Hudbay has completed the collective bargaining process with all six of the company’s unions in Manitoba.

The group announced on Monday that members of United Steelworkers (USW) Local 7106 and USW Local 9338 had ratified new three-and-a-half-year collective agreements.

Members of the other four unions at Hudbay’s Manitoba operations ratified their respective three-and-a-half-year collective agreements in July.

In Manitoba, Hudbay operates in the Snow Lake region where it owns the Lalor gold, zinc, copper and silver mine. The 777 copper, zinc and gold mine, in Flin Flon, is approaching the end of its mine life.
