HUD Mining Supplies (HUD) is a South Africa based specialist manufacturer and supplier to the exploration and geotechnical drilling industries. HUD has over 75 years’ heritage in this industry, and today serves African and global markets from its modern manufacturing facility in Isando, Johannesburg.
HUD’s products include impregnated, surface set and PCD diamond drill bits, reamer shells, and in-hole tooling. We manufacture the complete range of sizes to DCDMA and metric system standards.
HUD is a global leader in diamond bit manufacturing, and has vast experience of drilling in Africa. Getting the right bit for the application is ‘core’ to our business, and the success of our customers.
HUD is also the owner (OEM) of the entire Kempe® and MetreEater® range of underground and dimensional stone drills. These come in pneumatic and electro-hydraulic drive variants.
In order to service HUD customers, we carry extensive stock in-house at our Isando facility, and have a close network of freight companies to ensued rapid and efficient delivery to all parts of the globe.
HUD is additionally the official distributor for Schramm Hammers and Bits range of products to the sub-Saharan market, as well as being an authorised distributor of all AMC drilling fluids.
