PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed Aurelia Metals has restarted shaft hoisting operations at its Peak mine, in New South Wales.

The gold miner last week suspended shaft hoisting operations to investigate a fault detected in the conveyance guide system.

Aurelia on Tuesday said that remedial work has been carried out on the guide rope system and normal ore hoisting operations have now resumed. Man-riding operations remain suspended pending further investigation, potential remedial work and recommissioning.

While man-riding remains suspended, the Peak mine surface decline is being used to transport mineworkers underground.
