Gruyere on target - Gold Road

PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Gold miner Gold Road Resources on Wednesday noted preliminary production results from the Gruyere joint venture (JV) in Western Australia, which found that 85 676 oz of gold was produced in the June quarter, compared with the 71 135 oz produced in the March quarter.

Some 2.4-million tonnes of ore were processed at Gruyere during the June quarter, at a head grade of 1.22 g/t gold, with gold recoveries reaching 91.3%.

Gold Road told shareholders that the production rates at Gruyere remained in line with yearly guidance of between 300 000 oz and 340 000 oz, of which between 150 000 oz and 170 000 oz would be attributable.

Gold Road’s gold sales during the quarter totalled 44 526 oz, at an average price of A$2 496/oz, and saw the delivery of 8 700 oz of gold at an average price of A$1 977/oz into forward sales contracts.

To date, the Gruyere operation has not been materially impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
