TSX-V-listed mining company Golden Arrow has terminated its option for the Libanesa silver/gold project, in Argentina, and will instead focus its efforts on its new San Pietro copper/gold/cobalt project, in Chile.

Golden Arrow in October last year entered into an agreement to acquire a 75% undivided interest in the 14 500-ha Libanesa project, near the Cerro Moro mine of Yamana Gold, from Mirasol Resources.

The Canada-based company says it has met and exceeded its minimum commitment, through an exploration programme that included field mapping, surface sampling, trenching and 1 716 m of drilling.

Golden Arrow in March announced that it will buy the San Pietro iron-oxide/copper project in the Atacama region and in June started its first field programme.
