ASX-listed West African Resources this month processed the first underground ore at its Sanbrado gold project in Burkina Faso.

In March, the company poured its first gold at Sanbrado. The first underground development ore was also mined and stockpiled in March, and was ready for processing.

The company’s 2019 feasibility study envisages an initial ten-year mine life, including 6.5 years of underground mining, with probable reserves of 1.7-million ounces.
