Favorsea Africa

Favorsea Africa is focused on safety and ensuring that our clients have the best solutions to simplify day to day mining challenges.

With collision avoidance at our core, Favorsea Africa developed cutting edge technology and continuously improve our systems to ensure that we keep up with the latest developments in collision avoidance systems and additional systems to compliment the operation of our collision avoidance systems.

The Favorsea Africa Collision Avoidance Systems was developed for use in the harsh environments of Northern China. In these remote areas dust, snow, mist and rain is a regular occurrence. A repeatable, reliable system was of utmost importance as access and support to these areas are difficult and time consuming.

This made the Favorsea system extremely suitable to the South African mining conditions. With the manufacturing power of China, Favorsea Africa can truly provide the best system and the best price.

Favorsea Africa can provide solutions for various mining challenges. Our solutions range from surface mining to underground, across various commodities.

We provide Collision Warning Systems, Collision Avoidance Systems, Fatigue detection and management, vehicle access control, Production Management, Fleet management, Personal tracking to name but a few.

For Surface Collision Warning and Avoidance, the system makes use of GPS for machine positioning and warning and with the addition of RTK (Real Time Kinematic) the system can be accurate up to 300mm.

The Underground Collision Avoidance and Warning system makes use of the ToF (Time of Flight) technology combined with 3D RF to ensure that objects are detected irrespective of the position, height or size.

Favorsea Africa systems are extremely versatile and can be fitted to any piece of equipment or object. The system can function on a wide voltage range from 12V DC up to 220V AC and can be integrated on any power supply available on the machine.

The system also offers internal protection for over and under voltages. Circuitry is designed to ensure protection against lighting strikes and any circulating current that might be present in the circuit.

All frequencies used are in the open band and is ICASA type approved. This means that no licensing fees and monthly data subscriptions required for machines.

With the development and integration of tracking, underground machines and pedestrians can be easily located for various reason including but not limited to emergency personal tracking, shaft clearance, etc.

The modular design allows the system to be systematically introduced into an area with little to no disruption for functionality increase. For example, the system can be used as a basic Collision Warning System and be upgraded to Collision Avoidance System by simply adding a Favorsea Brake controller, a 3rd party stopping system or simply connecting via the ISO21815 CAN bus connector. The same for adding Fatigue Monitoring devices to the system or Intelligent cameras for object recognition.

To ensure that all the data is properly displayed for the end user, the Favorsea Management Software is custom build for ease of use and simplicity. The software is web based that allows the end user to log in using any device from any location around the world. The system can be configured to run on-site servers or cloud based for customers with limited resources.

Communications can be done via various methods and Favorsea Africa has successfully integrated over various communication mediums. These implementations range from Radio Frequencies (low bandwitdh) to eLTE (high bandwidth).

System stability and verification is of utmost importance for end users to ensure that system is functioning optimally with maximum uptime. Verification is done via test stations and online via the management software. This can be setup to supply reports at predefined time periods as per end user requirements.

All products are designed and assembled in China, clients get an opportunity to visit manufacturing plants in China or attend local Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) in South Africa to ensure products delivered to site is of highest quality. Favorsea Africa is currently in the process of obtaining SHEQ 14001 accreditation. This ensures that all products passed on to our clients meet straight criteria before delivered to site.

Each system also goes through a Site Acceptance Test (SAT) after installation. This ensure that all systems are installed according to client specifications and the system functions optimally.

Favorsea Africa also provides a comprehensive after sales solution in the form of Service Level Agreements to ensure that support is available after project phase is complete. This service includes but not limited to on-site technicians and remote access and monitoring.

The Technical team consist of highly trained and qualified service and installation technicians. All technicians are retrained annually or when the product design changes and assessed to ensure that they are competent and able to fix any problem experienced on site.

We also provide end user training for our systems. Training is done for either user interaction or technical (fault finding and repairs). User interaction train for machine operators can be done on site or at Favorsea Offices. Technical training is done at Favorsea head office where attendees are given theoretical and practical training on fault finding and repair of the system.

The Favorsea Africa set of solutions is the best integrated and modular system currently available on the market. This will gives any operation the cutting edge to operate optimally and comply with any regulatory requirements.
