Fatality at Paladin mine

PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Uranium miner Paladin Energy has reported a fatality at its Kayelekera mine, in Malawi.

The miner said on Wednesday that an employee in the mine’s engineering workshop had died on Tuesday, after being struck in the chest by a light vehicle wheel he was inflating.

The company, as well as the relevant authorities were investigating the incident, and the outcome of this investigation was pending.
