ESTEEMED ENDORSEMENT

The commander-in-chief of the world’s biggest investment bank last week remarked favourably on the high standing of the JSE in having a market capitalisation that is twice the value of South Africa’s gross domestic product. A regular visitor during his time as head of the company’s precious metals desk, Blankfein said Goldman Sachs was open to more investment in South Africa, about which he was generally bullish.
