All of us are experiencing pandemic fatigue and are more than ready for a much-needed summer holiday. Despite indications that a vaccine is on the way, it is still not the time to let our guard down. Until the vaccine has been widely deployed, face masks remain the best protection we have against Covid-19. They should be an essential summer accessory in those instances where we are unable to abide by the ‘Three Cs’ of avoiding close contact, crowded places and confined spaces. Oh, and don’t forget to wash and/or sanitise hands regularly too.
