Midtier gold and base metals miner Eldorado Gold has acquired an 11.5% shareholding in Probe Metals, an explorer with projects in Quebec.
Eldorado bought 15.04-million common shares of Probe at C$1.575 each.
The securities have been acquired for investments purposes, Eldorado said.
Gold major Newmont also owns 11% in Probe.
