Company looks to strengthen position

SIGNIFICANT STOCK AMIS stocks a wide range of certified reference material which are sourced from naturally occurring raw materials worldwide

Despite the current depressed commodities market, Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) producer African Mineral Standards (AMIS) has had a successful year and intends to continue to strengthen its position as a market leader to make the most of its growth once the market lifts.

As part of its strategy to expand to key markets globally, the company will be exhibiting at the thirty-fifth International Geological Congress (IGC), which will be hosted at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from August 27 to September 4.

AMIS notes that the conference is very specific to the company’s needs, as it is directly targeted at geologists and geochemists, which are very important partners and end-users of its products. Moreover, AMIS sees the congress as a great opportunity to learn about new developments in the industry while networking with key partners and existing customers.

The company will exhibit in Hall 1, just beyond the main foyer, and will showcase its range of services and products.

AMIS stocks a wide range of CRMs which are sourced from naturally occurring raw materials worldwide. The company is an ISO 9001:2008-accredited producer, which means that the company uses a quality management system that enables it to consistently provide a product that complies with customer, statutory and regulatory requirements.

The company also hosts a Proficiency Testing Scheme, set out according to International Organisation for Standardisation guidelines, which enables participating laboratories to acquire ISO 17025 accreditation.

AMIS supplies CRMs as a benchmark for mineral analysis to exploration companies, mining companies and commercial laboratories, and claims to consistently deliver high-quality, accurate and unbiased results and products.
