TSX-V-listed Broadway Gold has acquired an 85% interest in a land package called the Tsumeb mining camp, in Namibia.

The company on Monday stated that the land was known for hosting both large high-grade polymetallic deposits and stratabound copper/silver/cobalt deposits, as well as some deposits of gold, vanadium, germanium and uranium.

“Over the years Namibia has grown to be a development-friendly jurisdiction with mining companies such as B2Gold, Dundee and others successfully operating in the country. We believe our access to the Tsumeb mining camp will give us another opportunity to show that we can develop a promising project,” said executive chairperson Duane Parnham.

The four exploration prospecting licences that Broadway purchased in the land package reportedly have mineralisation over a total strike length of 30 km west of Tsumeb, in Namibia. Within these licences, which cover almost 57 km2, ten former vanadium mines and prospects occur, as well as three former copper mines.
