SAO PAULO – Brazilian steelmaker Companhia Siderurgica Nacional said its board has approved an initial public offering by its mining unit CSN Mineracao SA, according to a securities filing on Monday.
CSN said the offering aims at funding CSN Mineracao's business plan, as well as creating value for the steelmaker's shareholders. The company did not disclose the IPO amount or when it should occur.
